When you recategorise your transactions you can create category rules to apply to similar existing transactions and future transactions – saving you time.
Similar transactions are transactions that have the same transaction description (after we remove dates, account and reference numbers, and other irrelevant information)
You can create category rules for similar transactions when you recategorise your transactions.
If you are using mobile, any similar transactions will be shown to you when you categorise your transactions. Simply select Yes, to set up a transaction rule and categorise your historical similar transactions.
If you are on Desktop, tick the Apply to existing and future transactions in the checkbox at the bottom left of the Categories screen, to set up a transaction rule and categorise your historical similar transactions.
